In the face of uncertainty...

[Take what you need.]

Not being able to accurately forecast what's coming is a strange feeling when you're used to some measure of predictability. I cycle through all the emotions. Cuss and cry through them a little bit, too. Zone out and disassociate.

And then I look for the angels. I search for the stories of the ones who hoped, imagined, lived, built, loved forward. A little bit today. A little more tomorrow. Prayer as a lifestyle. Rest as a practice. Wisdom as a guide. Love as a banner. Paralysis be damned.

May each lean on one another. Share each other's load. Borrow courage, temerity, hope when we're running low. Prepare tables big enough and welcoming enough that there's no limit to who can come and dine.

May we each know deeply and unshakably that no matter what it looks like, better is on the way. 🫢🏽
